Part-Time Bus Driver (Contract position) - Atlanta Regional Workforce Board
The Atlanta Regional Workforce Board is seeking a driver who would be interested in working a part-time flexible schedule from one to three days a week and/or to rotate weeks on and off with other driver. Bus is built on a Winnebago frame, has a Ford chassis, is 38.5 ft long, with a GVWR of 22,000 lbs and has a 12 workstation computer lab in the main section. The bus is driven to various locations within seven metro Atlanta counties to provide services the ARWB administers, such as job training, career exploration, working with employers in layoff situations, etc.
Primary responsibilities include:
* picking up the unit at the storage lot and completing driving checklist
*driving it to designated location and maintaining appropriate fuel levels for operation
* engaging the systems necessary for operation of the unit as a free standing mobile unit (leveling, exhaust, awning, generator, satelite dish, wheelchair lift, etc)
*shutting down above mentioned systems in preparation for return of unit to lot
* remaining with the unit during the course of the day
* completing routine review of unit's mechanical/physical systems and reporting concerns
Additional responsibilities may include:
* providing general support to career resource center staff and clients
* taking unit for warranty/maintenance service
Must be an experienced bus, RV or truck driver, have a current GA license; have proof of clean MVR (7 years); and possess strong communication skills. Computer and/or mechanical skills a plus.
